My Brother Kevin

Lots of people know my twin brother, Kevin. He is currently enrolled at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business pursuing an MBA. But few people know he enjoyed a brief but memorable stint on the TV show "The Wonder Years." Kevin played the main character named "Kevin Arnold." In fact, Kevin's off-screen personality was so similar to that of Kevin Arnold, that the writers and show producers named the main character after him. Although reported in various tabloids, there is no truth to the rumor that they used the same name because Kevin found it difficult to respond to a name other than his own. In fact, to this day, Kevin responds to many names including: Kev, Kevey, Kever, Comedian, Bucky, Bucky the Beaver, Fred Savage, Kevin Arnold, Chomp, Chomp-Chomp, Buttfaced Puss, The Wizard, Cock-Block, and Brother (if your last name is Straub).

Although many people have been fooled by the screen name Kevin went by while in Hollywood, "Fred Savage", if you compare the two it is obvious that they are one in the same. Here are some examples:

"Fred" loved school

Kevin loved sports - that's him second to last on the bottom-right (note his future "brother" Pete Straub peeking around from behind the coach). Yeah, that's me, aka "The Enforcer," first one from the left on the top row.

As you can see, the proof is in the pudding. In fact, one of Kevin's favorite snacks is a big bowl of pudding! Feel free to post your own thoughts or comments about Kevin or even use this site as a fan base for him. If you have any questions for him, he frequently checks this site and will be happy to respond to your questions about the show, about his current activities, or about life in general (as he did in the show). I will frequently update this site with a "did you know" about Kevin just to feed your insatiable appetites. We love you Kevin!

Trivia Night 2/7

Ok, so we didn't move up to 5th like I had promised, but we did place 8th out of 31 teams. It should have been 7th place because we learned that the second place team, a team with no one younger than 30, had 11 players and a current newspaper to aid them on the sports trivia (they were all Zoids). Although this is supposedly strictly forbidden (team size is limited to 5), this did not stop them from taking the prize money for 2nd place. Rest assured, though, that we made it known that Team Paton was not pleased. Anywho, here is a review and ranking of the individual performances:

1) Jaimie - Owned the Music round
2) Garth - Single handedly could have secured us a top 3 finish if not for Mora (see #5 below)
3) Moto - Came up with the hilarious and highly accurate description of the cheater team (discussed above), "30 times 30", and also answered a few questions.
4) Me - Got us off to a great start by knowing that there are more mice than any other mammal in the United States. It seemed like the obvious answer after this.
5) Mora - Succeeded in locking us out of 5th place for 3 reasons: she refused to write "Planet Earth" for the location of a particular restaurant; she confused The Passion of the Christ with The Count of Monte Cristo; she refused to argue that the number 20 is located on the $20 bill. Awful.
NR) Meghan - Stopped by for one round and couldn't even identify Kurt Vonnegut's picture, despite working at a book store.
