Gmail

I have some Gmail invitations that have been sitting in my account for months. I don't know if Gmail invites are still sought after, but if you want one, just give me a post with your email address (or just telling me to visit your site). I absolutely love Gmail simply because of the way it organizes all the emails (if you don't know what I mean, then you should get an account).

Subs

Ok, I think I have one of the craziest concoctions for a Subway sandwich. For the record, I am sick of Subway now after years of eating it and now will only eat it if it is the only option. My favorite is Blimpie's. My least favorite is Quizno's. Their subs suck, but their commercials with the singing rats were awesome. Tell me what you think and post your own concoction if your mind hasn't been blown.

Foot-long Cold-Cut on wheat bread
Lettuce
Pickles
Black Olives
Green Peppers
Banana Peppers
Jalapeno Peppers
Mustard AND Mayonnaise
Pepper (no salt)

Fencing

I am going to start taking fencing classes. Does anyone have any advice or comments on this? What should I expect? What does it take to be good?

Seinfeld

Ok Seinfeld fans, I would like to hear from you about this. Am I the only Seinfeld fan who absolutely despises the first 3 (possibly 4) seasons of Seinfeld? The characters aren't well defined yet, it's very Jerry-centric, the "Seinfeld humor" is few and far between, and the editing isn't great.

If you agree, please let me know. If you disagree, please post letting me know what episodes you particularly like out of these initial seasons. Thanks.

Trivia 1/24

My friends and I started going to "Trivia Night" at two local bars in Ann Arbor. I must say that it is a welcome change to the typical bar scene. You sit at tables with up to six people on a team. Usually 10-15 teams play at one of the bars, the other bar had 29 teams the night I went. They go through rounds of questions that they ask using a microphone. You write down your answers and turn in the sheet after each round. One of the bars has bonus rounds in between where one team member from each team competes in various physical (limbo) or dramatic (sing, dance, act out a scene) competitions. Prizes (anywhere from t-shirts and hats to money) are awarded for the top three teams.

It's a fun time because you can actually talk to your friends instead of having to yell to be heard like at a typical bar scene and it is decently challenging. Check it out in your town if it's available.

FYI: We placed 22nd out of 29 at that one bar.

Mice

A family of mice are currently living in my parent's house. Although the cat caught two of them (one survived), I kept finding damn turds all over the basement. So, through innovative thinking I have created a homemade mouse trap (post a comment if you want to know how) which has caught five of them. There is still at least one more, but they can't resist chocolate and fall (quite literally) into my trap each time. I'll keep you all updated on my success.

Meet the Fockers

Here is my first movie post for any visitors to read and think about. Nothing too deep or important, just thoughts.

I thought this was average at best. Nowhere near as funny as Meet the Parents. The best part about Meet the Parents was the God awful awkwardness that it put the viewer in. You didn't have this in Meet the Fockers. Instead, you really felt like it was everybody versus Robert DeNiro's character. Ben Stiller's character wasn't on his own in this movie, and, as a result, you didn't feel the same nervousness for him as you did in Meet the Fockers. However, I must admit that I am the only one of my friends or even anyone I know that didn't think the movie was hilarious and even more funny than the first.

Video Games

I own Playstation 2 and XBox. Games I am currently playing:
Socom II (99% of the time) - Phenomenal game, excellent online competition.
Metal Gear Solid 3 - Excellent game. Much better than 2 and surprisingly long with lots of secrets and fun things to do.
Halo 2 - Only marginally better than the first. Online is awful compared to Socom.
Katamari Damacy - Extremely weird but very detailed and fun. Definitely worth renting or even buying, only $20.
Crimson Skies - Very creative and fun game both in singleplayer and online. I can't find any information about a sequel and I can't believe it.
Star Wars Battlefront - Awful. Singleplayer is decent but too short and easy. Online is terrible with lag. Idea was good, execution was pathetic.

"Did you know" Archive

Here is the complete list of Kevin's "Did you know" factoids. Feel free to post your own for others to enjoy.

Did you know...?

- Kevin frequently brushes his teeth in the shower
- Kevin once used a pillow to soak up beer he spilled
- Kevin has been known to refer to the day after Saturday as, "no shower Sunday"
- When Kevin was a baby, he would line up peas, cheerios, corn, etc. before eating them
- Kevin loves Necco candies
- Kevin's toes are so disgustingly disfigured that they are known as "the lightbulbs" or "the ganglies."
- Kevin has watched most horror movies ever released and doesn't understand why they are not "recognized" by the Academy Awards.
- Kevin's favorite movie is "Killer Klowns From Outer Space". And he's not alone, check out some of the websites devoted to it:

Don't think this movie sounds scary? Just try to say that after looking at this. I don't care how tough you think you are, those damn clowns will freak you out if you think about them when you're alone in the dark.

- Kevin's favorite horror movie series is "A Nightmare on Elm Street." In fact, he reserves a parking spot at our parents' house specifically for "Freddy." Ask him what happens to someone who foolishly parks in "Freddy's spot."
- Kevin admires Freddy because of the various witty remarks he makes while killing people (Freddy, not Kevin).
- One of Kevin's favorite childhood movies is "The Neverending Story."
- Kevin once bought a shirt and wore it out of the store to annoy one of his friends (Maestro) who thought it was ugly.
